Clinical psychology is a specialized field of psychology that focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. These techniques include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, family therapy, and psychopharmacology. Clinical psychologists use a variety of assessment tools to diagnose mental health issues. These tools include psychological tests and questionnaires, interviews, and observation. Clinical psychologists typically use evidence-based treatments to help individuals who are suffering from mental health issues. These treatments include cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and family therapy.


Clinical psychologists may also work in collaboration with other professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide treatment to individuals with mental health issues.
